We're 16 places above of Man Utd at the moment – I'll be ecstatic if we finish anywhere remotely close to that at the end of the season.
Brighton did a great job of nullifying Bruno & Maxi, and bossed the midfield. I think we missed the link up play of Targett & Maxi, Miggy was our most potent striker, things just didn't come off for him & Wilson. Man City will be interesting and perhaps provide more insight as to how the season may go.

A decent draw considering the heat and everything else. People still not realising how good Brighton are but I think that'll change by the end of the season- finally. Graham Potter was my first choice for manager with Howe 2nd- both show that modern young British coaches don't have to be Bruce ball drudgers.

Brighton are a REALLY good team. We were not at our best. We had a few times in which we put a ball in and there not a Toon shirt to be seen. This was actually a real good away test for us. We had a strong, if frantic, defensive performance against a good side. If we can get a point from almost every away match, we’ll be ok.
We need a central playmaker like we had with Rob Lee & a dedicated striker, Paqueta would cover the first, please god we also get a striker ! Not for the want of trying !
