As a toon brought up near Barcelona and treated badly by barça fans/catalans, I have loved madrid as a second club behind the mags as a fuck you to Barça. I loved asensio early years, but now that time has gone on, he has amazing ability but it is once in a blue moon. In arguably an inferior league…. Also he's work ethic is none existen.
Diaby would be top for me as Bundesliga is the second best league in the world. He could adapt quicker an easier to the prem as they are more similar.
I would rather have sarr if we can't get diaby. Not sure how Harrison or Asensio are an improvement to ASM, Almiron, Fraser or even Murphy. When you look at players for how they fit in a team/club rather than just being brought in as a somewhat well known name. If we do get asensio I hope I'm wrong but reminds me more of an Albert Luque then a Ginola on the scale of goal scoring magicians. 🙁

Diaby, Paqueta, and Broja(before West Ham snap him up), will complete a really astute transfer window. If Leverkusen play hard ball and we can’t seem to get Diaby, I’d rather we gamble on Pepe from Arsenal than Asensio. There’s a proper baller in Pepe and Don Howe is more than capable of bringing it out!🙌🏾
Get both, Diaby and Asensio. Asensio plays RW. Diaby plays both LW and RW and could therefore be used as LW. Alternatively, Asensio can also play CM, which would make room for ASM. 4-1-4-1 with ASM (LW), Joelinton (LCM), Bruno (CDM) and Asensio (RCM) and Diaby (RW) or 4-4-1-1 with ASM or Joelinton as AM.
Asensio Is great, He's primarily a AMR but can play across the mid and on the left. 35 million is a steal and if we could get him in for wages under 120/130k I'd be happy.

Not all that glitters is gold – Just because he comes from Real doesn't mean he's a superstar – Real don't generally let superstars go until they're exhausted of their ability to compete at they very top.
