Newcastle fan here. First match I ever saw was at Highbury. Shearer was playing, and so was Bergkamp. Bergkamp was like a man amongst boys – time seemed to slow down when he got the ball. We lost but when we saved a penalty the traveling Geordies celebrated like they'd won. I've had a soft spot for Arsenal ever since and I love seeing both teams doing so well at the moment. Super exciting times.

Newcastle has been good since January am not surprised, people just forget how they climbed from relegation but am really surprised with Arsenal's potential, moreover they have had some injury issues along that run, yet people say injuries will affect them, they are learning to do without some players in particular games

As a gooner, while I might not like the owners of Newcastle, it's proper football club. Eddie Howe is deserving all the plaudits he is getting. Our squad is probably a bit short to win the title, but I'm delighted with the team we have now. Young, exciting players under a young manager that is going places.

Looking Simon's face, he just hates having say/hear anything positive about Newcastle United. Can't wait to watch him squirm week in week out when we're battling at the top consistently. ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️

I haven't watched the video, but imho Newcastle is the much bigger surprise. Arsenal's evolution has been well documented in terms of personnel, tactics, etc. Whereas Newcastle's tactics don't look as "complex". They've simply been playing solidly solid football.

It also helps that they aren't playing 11 men behind the ball all the time (gone are the days of Steve Bruce/Rafa defensive ball). It allows their attacking talent to stay further up the pitch, so they don't have to sprint 80 damn yards anymore to spring an attack/counter attack.

Newcastle for sure. arsenal just missed out in top 4 last season by a whisker. many ppl had them 4th-3rd. NO ONE had Newcastle in the top 4 most didn't even have them in the top 6 they were saying top 8 this season and build from there. for Newcastle to be where they are having only lost 1 game and most of the season without maximin and isak … he's brilliant

How's it the British attitude when most of the players and managers are foreign lol It's not 1980 anymore Graham lmao It's near enough a foreign league on British soil if were being honest.

Arsenal all day. Newcastle was always going to be the real deal with a good manager and unlimited funds. Arsenal have been in a dire situation financially, on the pitch and in the fanbase but after how Arsenal faded at the end of last season, to go in the summer transfer window, bought good players and coming back this season on top so far, I gotta give it to Arsenal.

You'd have to say Arsenal, because despite being top all season, people still don't have them as title contenders. Most of City's squad is at the World Cup, not many of Arsenal's, Liverpool's, and Newcastle's are. They're getting a week or two off, injury niggles will get time to heal, players will be getting a month of tactical and fitness training, while City's are playing games and doing full scale training.
For all the talk of Arsenal's squad depth, City's squad is more likely to be knackered and injury ridden than their rivals.

Yhe arsenal manager still in a job this time last season arsenal board wanting to sack him and all the fake plastic fans slagging him off how things in the space of a year these ppen cheque books work wonders

If this first part of the season has shown me anything is that City are more vulnerable than we give them credit for. If Arsenal’s board backs the manager with some January acquisitions then there’s no reason why they can’t win it. But then we have the World Cup to consider which can affect any of the big clubs for good or bad.

The biggest surprise has got to be Everton everybody thought we would be 5th from bottom but no
we are hanging on to that fourth spot, Don't let them ruin your record Kenwright, We have now been
fighting relegation for 25 of the 33 years this man has been on the board, the only time he will go is
when we have been relegated. 28 managers, 354 players, 14 grass cutters, 18 window cleaners.
