NEWCASTLE UNITED TRANSFER SHOW

After the terrible performance on Saturday and the defeat to League One Cambridge United, a serious wake up call was given to the new owners that they simply need to open the cheque book and bring in some new names.

As usual the club have been linked with many players but who are the ones that are a realistic target and could indeed join the club?

We urgently need a striker for the game against Watford but that is just one position that needs to be improved.

Love the shows Paul heard a classic yesterday re: interest in woods from Burnley the only team who couldn’t score against our defence Twice and we are chasing there striker ???

More people question Eddie than I can believe, give him time I have full confidence and due to the other bottom teams I feel he is the man for this. Defense and a striker is what the club needs otherwise I think things will eventually get better, 35 points is the number and I think, Eddie will claw that out for the club.

I made a comment on the world of sport with Barry, that I think Danny Ings from Villa would be a good signing, although they won't sell. I also mentioned Ineacho from Leicester being a possibility and Baz agreed, don't know what you think Paul.

I think £45 mill for him in this crazy market isn't that bad, it's a lot but he is highly highly rated, we are19th in the league for fuck sake. He won the league, was a stalwart, only 21. 6ft 5, left footed and can play. I think he wants the move, rumours him and his agent may push for the move in the next 48 hours, you know for a fact that agent will want the move done!! As for Wood, apparently he has a release clause, so if so, I would definitely take him as backup, he scored as many as Wilson has in the prem in the same time. The young striker from France looks exciting if we go for him, fingers crossed we do.
