Arteta's Arsenal have a clear plan – Craig Burley | Premier League

ESPN FC’s Craig Burley and Shaka Hislop analyse Arsenal’s 4-0 drubbing of Newcastle with Burley saying the Gunners have a clear direction under Mikel Arteta. Hislop praises Arteta’s comments since taking over as manager, saying he’s focused on getting the team playing well rather than looking at qualification for European competitions. Burley believes recruitment and exit strategies right during the summer will be key to Arteta and Arsenal going forward.

  1. Espn pundits have a clear bias against Man utd…. Arsenal loose and draw games more than Man utd coz speaking about UTD creates ratings…. All these pundits except Stevie N i respect coz they played for small teams.

  2. Craig Burley is such a hypocrite ….. now Arteta clearly has a plan "because the goals went in" but if the chances were missed and we get a draw … "Arsenal is in a crisis" …..f**king wanker …….

  3. Easier said than done Craig Burley
The recruitment at Arsenal has been dreadful since the last years of Wenger
And the problem Arteta has is how much say he has with recruitment and how much money he will have to spend

  4. I like Arteta, I have to admit that I was skeptical in announcement, but he actually have plan B and C when things do as we want them to be, like Manchester United game and Chelsea game. Solsjear didn't have plan B as Arteta does and Chelsea was shocked to see Arsenal have a plan D, they couldn't win against 10 men even though they are getting goals.

  5. Arteta is the real deal. He's serious about making an early impact in his young career. To be honest, experience is overrated. If you believe you are ready there shouldn't be anything or anyone telling you that you are not. It seems like this is what he wanted to do his whole life, he feels so comfortable. He's going to have a great career, my worry is just if the Arsenal board dont back him enough he could be heading to City or Barcelona. Arsenal really need to give him what he wants in order to succeed.
