The Most Frequently Asked Questions about Organizing Your Kid’s Rooms

1. In terms of organization, what is the first thing a parent should do before decorating a kid’s room?

Get rid of the clutter! Because we are such a materialistic, marketing, socializing-driven society, kids are bombarded and often overwhelmed with «stuff» – much of which they don’t even like and will never use.

2. What is the biggest organizational challenge with children’s rooms?

Finding ways to make it easy for kids to maintain organization – this means getting them involved in the process and using tools like baskets without lids, hooks instead of tools racks, etc.

3. Why is organization so important in a kid’s bedroom?

Studies show that children who live in an organized environment (especially those who have learning disabilities, ADD, etc.) function better.

4. Are your organizational tips different for different age groups? If so, could you offer a few?

0-5:

At this age, you can teach children organization without them even knowing it. For example, using color coded containers to sort toys.

6-10:

This is a great age to begin teaching paper management. Purchase a desktop holder for hanging files – create a folder for special interests such as «Soccer», «Cartoons,» «Haircut Ideas» «Gift Ideas» etc.

11-16:

The older they are, the tougher it gets – because they begin to want to assert their independence! The answer lies in «What will they do?» When my son turned 16, I finally closed the bedroom door, and said, «If it doesn’t crawl out or smell, I won’t complain! I’m tired of teaching, bribing, nagging, etc.»

One of my clients hired me to organize her 15-year-old’s room. It was a gorgeous room, but not at all to the daughter’s liking. We took out the clothes bar, and filled the closet with colorful stacked baskets. When we were done, she invited her basketball team to come and see!

5. What are the must-have items in every kid’s bedroom?

Specific places for specific items of clothing (e.g., this drawer is for sox or this box is for memorabilia), An easy place to put dirty clothes.

6. Can children be taught to be organized, and if so, how does a parent make this happen?

One of the best ways is to be a good role model. Often when parents says to a child, «Clean up your room!» the child doesn’t have to look far to see other people’s messes – some of which have been around for a long time!

However, as the mother of five, who are now grown and living responsible lives, I learned that although I taught them how to be organized, it didn’t mean I would see the results until AFTER they moved out of the house!

We use a 5-Step Process to help our clients organize all aspects of their personal and professional lives – this process applies to organizing a kid’s bedroom as well:

1. Design your vision

2. Eliminate your excuses

3. Commit your time

4. Select your tools

5. Maintain your success.

Notice that the common word in all of the steps is «your» – organizing is an art!

Things To Consider When Choosing Your Workout Kit

For many people, working out is often about looking super presentable and attractive rather than being fit. However, your prime concern must be the comfort you are getting in the clothes while working out. Your workout apparel is what that decides the levels of your comfort and has a great effect on your exercise too.

What you wear defines who you are. Similarly, the range of clothes for exercise varies for different workouts. Your prime concern while selecting your workout apparel should be the fabric it is made of, its fit and the comfort.

Not able to decide the perfect apparel for workout? Have a look at these points that will help you pick the best thing to wear while exercising. In order to select the clothes that fit well for your workout, we’ve jotted down a few things to keep in mind.

1. Choosing fabric that provides wicking:

A synthetic fiber that wicks away the sweat from your body will not only keep your body temperature cool while working out, but will also make you feel light and easy, allowing the air to cross through. Polyester, Lycra and spandex would work well.

If you don’t sweat profusely, then wearing cotton apparel would be good for light workouts like stretching and walking as cotton is a soft fabric. However when it gets heavy with sweat, it will cling to your body, making you uneasy.

2. Getting the right fit:

Choose the clothes that don’t get in the way of your workout activity. For exercises which involve lots of leg usage like running, jogging and cycling, wear short or capris that aren’t baggy or loose fitted.

For stretches, yoga, weight lifting or other workouts that don’t involve rapid movements you can use a pair of yoga pants that have better elasticity.

3. Appropriate tops:

Sleeveless tops and t-shirts are a perfect thing to wear while working out. Go for tops that aren’t too loose and have the ability of supporting your body, not flaring away. Sleeveless tops would help keep body sweat-free. These can also be worn in winter season as mostly gyms are centrally heated.

4. Change of clothing according to weather:

The workout clothing changes from season to season. In hot summers you are most likely to be wearing sleeveless shirts with shorts or capris whereas in winters, sweatshirts or a think jacket over t-shirt would work fine. But one must keep in mind not to go for very warm clothing in winters as the body temperature itself goes up while exercising.

5. The right footwear:

Choosing the right shoe for workout is very important. If your feet aren’t comfortable, you can never perform the workout properly. Wear a shoe that perfectly fits your foot and ankle but isn’t too tight to not let the air pass through. Thin sole shoes are a good choice as they don’t let the shoe get heavy due to sweat.

Try to keep your clothing as light as you can in order to have a relaxed workout which does not make you feel irritated and disgusted due to sweat. After all, workout is supposed to give you an ever charming, relaxed look!

The Unknown, Understated, and Underrated: Ten Powerful Songs You Should Listen to More

I'm not giving a list of obscure bands and unknown songs. The list is just songs that are under appreciated in the catalogs of these great bands.

Scorpions, "The Sails of Charon"

In 1977 the Scorpions had not hit their height of popularity and had a slightly different lineup. One huge difference is guitar player Uli Jon Roth. "The Sails of Charon" starts off with the best intro guitar solo ever. Everything Uli does is well crafted but the work in this song is one of the top guitar masterpieces. The rest of the song has solid vocal rhythm and great overall groove.

Guns N 'Roses, "Estranged"

I know they were one of the biggest bands at the time of the songs release but recently the song does not have the same lasting effects as the rest of their hits and it should. After the song's soft entrance and Axl's barely audible vocal lines the song breaks into an immense guitar melody that set a tone and pace for the rest of the first half. The song takes a beautiful turn for the second half which becomes lighter and piano driven.

Candlebox, "Do not You"

For some reason Candlebox gets this reputation of being this soft band of the grunge era. I disagree. "Do not You" is the first song off of their debut album and it set a tone that is maintained through. This song is hard rock / blues at its best. The vocal performance is gargantuan and the recording is also monstrous.

Soundgarden, "Like Suicide"

One of the most underrated songs from their most popular album. Chris Cornell's lyrics in this song are woven brilliantly and his vocal performance pushes the theme into your brain. The music accompaniment adds a beauty to the despair of the subject matter.

Live, "White, Discussion"

I just love the wide open groove and vocal rhythm of this tune and definitely the forgotten single from this album.

Type O Negative, "Be My Druidness"

No band can deviate from groovy to depressed to lighthearted to agonizing seamlessly and all in one song like Type O can. This song is a great example of that talent.

Pearl Jam, "Tremor Christ"

After their debut album I never feel like Pearl Jam put out another solid effort. I am not a fan of their "Vitalogy" album with the exception of this gem. "Tremor Christ" is haunting. The minimal approach, vamping guitar work, the vocals drowned in reverb make this song a ghostly entity that consumes you as a listener.

Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Warped"

Many Chili fans believe "One Hot Minute" was a weak departure from its predecessor "Blood Sugar Sex Magic." I could not disagree more. Dave Navarro's work on this album added a heavier side to the funk rock Chilis. "Warped" is the greatest illustration of that. This song packs a punch and morphs into an excellent short outro piece. This song was the perfect choice to start this album and its first but underrated single.

Nevermore, "Dreaming Neon Black"

If you want an intense vocal performance the title track of Nevermore's 1999 album is for you. When Warrel Dane sings you feel his agony and Jeff Loomis is pure power and finesse as a guitarist. This song is a genius blend of frailty and virtuosity.

Rival Sons, "Manifest Destiny PT.1"

One of the most prolific new rock bands of the past ten years at their best. Slow, droning intro and versa with an explosive chorus. To top it off this song has a guitar solo that could belong on the "Band of Gypsys."

Blatter Is Happy With His Decision, Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022 World Cup

No doubt, there is much opposition after the decision was made by Sepp Blatter, which really played the key function in the conclusion of the next two Soccer Championship venues. Blatter’s function and his accurate judgment by the end of the method will be crucial in the evaluation of the achievement and significance the future championships will provide.

More or less, FIFA just lately decimated its likeness not just in front of football followers but the entire world when every lone progeny who ever dreamed of evolving well liked on area started to inquiry if even football federation was corrupted and if so «Are the previous famous players and renowned numbers part of this newest scandal?»

The Executive Committee Constituents of FIFA chose Russia to owner the 2018 World Cup. Russia shocked every individual with the $4 billion last tender while on the other hand the least significant homeland to ever owner the World Cup as yet the rich Qatar got the privilege of obtaining hosting privileges in 2022. Let’s see how much Qatar 2022 works.

It is so straightforward to suppose that part of that has currently been disclosed and while football federation’s ruling body is still hard working in portraying on those previous lambasting by newspapers and critics.

Sepp Blatter has had rather distinct functions to articulate his cutting edge on the preceding drama. Similarly, after the tendering method, he has arrive out and asserted that he is pleased for the respective nations in being adept to come by the World Cup hosting privileges.

Concerning the hosting of the large-scale football tournament in the world Blatter was discovered asserting, we will journey to two absolutely new countries. There has not ever been a World Cup in Russia or in another location in Eastern Europe.

Soccer Psychology – The Difference Between Winning and Losing

In today’s game of soccer most would argue that the most important person in a team is the coach. But a new position has arisen from the depths of the grandstand and his importance has significantly increased. Can you guess who it is?

Big clubs all over the world are employing Sports psychologists for help and some have even put them on as full time staff. Sports psychology has become the next boom industry as clubs and coaches have discovered the power of soccer psychology.

The difference between winning and losing at the highest level can be separated by a thin white line. All players are extremely fit, skillful, strong and quick. But how many players are confident and mentally strong? Clubs have discovered this and have added psychology to their growing list of weapons.

Players these days have pushed their physical capabilities to the limit and the competitive edge has virtually flattened out. That’s until mental warfare stepped in with the arrival of soccer psychology.

Science has proven that psychology and the right mindset influences and improves soccer performance. Sports psychology also identifies weaknesses and offers counseling to players who might be suffering from a lack of confidence and low self-esteem. They can also monitor motivational levels within a team and assess the whole team on an individual basis.

Soccer psychologists can also identify the different personalities within the team and ensure that these personalities don’t clash and work together. Remember, a champion team will always beat a team of champions. Soccer psychologists make the transition from a team to a championship team look very simple. By correcting the mindset of the players and increasing the player’s confidence the dream of winning silverware becomes a reality.

Soccer over the years has claimed its fair share of victims. Players that have lost all confidence and cannot perform at the levels required have inevitably been shown the door at their respective clubs. How can we stop this? Most players that have lost their confidence also suffer from low self esteem. With low self esteem comes the nerves and anxiety. If you have this problem within your team, the use of a soccer psychologist will solve all your problems. They will help your players relax and also use mental imagery to build on their shattered confidence without even touching a soccer ball.

Sports psychology has been directly linked to team spirit. The greater the team spirit, the greater chance you have of winning trophies. That’s why we see the smaller clubs of Europe beating some of the heavy weights in the champion’s league. Are the players better at the smaller clubs? Or do they have team spirit? From watching the champion’s league, it’s clearly evident what the smaller clubs lack in talent they make up in spirit and confidence.

The main purpose of psychology in soccer is to prevent the players feeling like failures when they lose. By eliminating this feeling, psychologists are protecting the players self esteem. Could self esteem and confidence be the secret ingredient all the big clubs share?

The clubs relegated to the second or third division are, however, permitted to retain the non-EU players until their contracts expire.

According to a decision adopted by the Spanish Federation, the teams playing in La Liga and the second division football in the country should make an optimum use of the rules and construct their squads with the foreign payers as many as permissible by the authority.
