For anyone saying this isn't the most passionate derby in the world you're off your rocks. These two cities have literally went to WAR with each other in the past. Look it up. Legit war 100s of years ago, gang wars since. Ect ect. There is not another place in the UK that hates one another on the level of Newcastle and Sunderland. It's not just about football, it's the literal culture. It goes deeper than any other rivalry on the planet. There is literal BLOOD between these two. To make a comparrison, the hatred between these two is on par with the USA and Russia. If both cities had nukes, there would be a fking cold war. A recent twitter fiasco literally happened last year where a Sunderland fan, found a picture of Trippier and his wife in bed and posted it saying he found evidence of Tripper cheating on his wife with an underage girl. They tried to outright cancel our best player on twitter because they hate Newcastle so much. This is why you hear Sunderland shouting pedo in the stands.
